SPRING - Mar 17, 2023
The first day of Spring has already sprung and we are fast approaching the changing of the clocks again. How quickly time goes by.
We are constantly surprised and delighted to receive funds from supporters both direct donations i.e. Trusts and shoot donations and events/challenges. The latest event was in Devon where around 140 people joined us to enjoy their evening, learn a little more about GWT and an auction which raised over £10,000. With grateful thanks to Rob and Carly Short whose idea it was and did all the organisation. Thanks too to Charlie Jacoby of Fieldsports Channel who conducted the auction. We are currently looking forward to a clay shoot and ceilidh up at Ormsary. Thank you all. We are also grateful to those who invite us to events where we have the opportunity to speak about GWT or distribute information i.e. Marsdens, St Davids Vets and Sandhill Vets.
Our work continues to grow in volume but also the breadth of services. We are excited to have launched our Health Checks which are run by our wonderful GWT nurses. Regular checking of ears, blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes can help you all keep healthy and live well. The Nurse Advice Clinic also is helping individuals and families with health concerns.
So whilst the curlews are calling outside our door and the skylark trilling above we look forward to 2023 and hope to see many of you at events and game fairs around the country. We hope to be present North, South West and East and are currently getting ready for our Spring Supper at Kirkbymoorside with the supper courtesy of NYMO.
Thank you and take care all.
