Volunteers are an important constituent in providing effective support to gamekeepers and their families through the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust.
Volunteers should have knowledge of the profession and a clear understanding of the issues involved. Local contacts can be advantageous but above all discretion and a commitment to confidentiality where supporting individuals or families. Other skills are helpful: administration, I.T skills or a professional background: NHS, legal or accounting services for example.
