GWT provides financial grants for gamekeepers, stalkers and ghillies and their families in times of hardship, ill health and retirement. Small grants are available for young people making gamekeeping their career. Jamies' Helpline is a key part of the service providing a confidential listening service with information and support on a wide variety of issues including health, retirement, redundancy, housing and employment issues. Our Housing, Benefits and Money Matters Officer assists on a one to one basis for anything of concern affecting individuals or families whether in work, or in retirement, later life. The Health and Wellbeing Hub (In House Nurse) is on hand to support anyone in a rural context who has queries, or an ongoing health issue, whether working, family member or in retirement or later life. Health Checks are available on estates or events for anyone - helping to improve lives and indeed saving lives too!
