Personal Message to everyone in the Gamekeeping Community

To all gamekeepers, stalkers, ghillies, past present and future and their families These are uncertain times for everyone but we are fortunate at least to live where we do, with our shoots and estates where we can continue our work with little effects in restrictions around the home at least. We are encouraged to see […]

March Newsletter 2019

Date posted: April 2, 2019

Welcome to the new look monthly newsletter
STAG Training Update
We have received excellent feedback from the STAG training, which is
delivered on behalf of and in collaboration with the Gamekeepers
Welfare Trust. The course has been designed by Ex-Marines to tackle
difficult issues such as leadership, communication, coping mechanisms
and health and well being. The comments we have received are all very
encouraging and it’s good to know that the training is making a positive
impact; ‘It is important to talk about issues and that it’s ok not to be ok’.
‘It was good to know there are a lot of people out there to help and talk to’.
‘Openness to our work environment and the stress we sometimes feel
ourselves under’.

Housing Fact Sheet
We have developed a new housing fact sheet which should assist in times of need. For the gamekeeper being made redundant, retiring, or simply
losing their job due to circumstance, housing is usually the most
important concern. Article under ‘Home/Resources/Welfare/Housing Facts’.
