History of GWT

The Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust was formed in 1992 in conjunction with BASC and GCT.

Administration and finance was ably managed by staff at BASC.  Trustees joined from all the main shooting organisations and in 1998 the Gamekeeper Welfare Network which offered support in terms of a listening service and support joined to form a new holistic service incorporating financial aid, general support and be-friending service.
