May Pole

Date posted: May 2, 2015

First of all thank you to David and Steve – organising and running Chirk Castle Shoot today.  Helping GWT and other local charities year after year.

We have two charity clay shoots this month – one is run by Steve Smith in Lincolnshire on Saturday 9th May with funds raised split between RABI and GWT and similarly the Countryside Clay Shoot organised and run by BASC with CLA Game Fair at Six Mile Bottom on 23rd May 2015.

We are grateful to everyone who works so hard to raise funds for us and for so many worthy charities.

Have you seen our new models for the GWT Beanie Hats – here is Hannah and Katie (with the new office mascot- Smartie).  See in the news.

April 21 – Happy 90th Birthday to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

It is truly remarkable that most of us cannot remember another monarch whilst we have lived and most of all are in awe at Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s immense energy and stamina which outstrips most of us at the best of times.  Duty, honour and trust are words which spring to mind and I hope that in […]

End of the Season 2015-16

It is nigh on the end of the Pheasant season and I can almost hear the sigh of relief!  The last few weeks are often hectic and to begin a new season of vermin control, tidying up and catching up is beckoning along with I hope, for many a well earned holiday! For the grouse […]

Job seeking in February

At this time of year our attention turns to those who are seeking jobs and my heart goes out to many gamekeepers and their families who have been given the news that they are to be made redundant. This can be expected or completely out of the blue and always a devastating blow, particularly when […]
