The Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust is a unique organisation dedicated to helping gamekeepers, stalkers and ghillies who find themselves in difficult circumstances. We work together to solve problems impacting on their lives and help in practical ways by providing discretionary grants, where appropriate.
Many issues become overwhelming through illness or tiredness and overwork; problems can include impending retirement, redundancy or legal difficulties. Help and support is provided, linking to partner organisations where appropriate, with professional guidance finding ways to solve problems. Providing a one stop shop of help and support for keepers, stalkers and ghillies and their families. Providing the most appropriate assistance with a sympathetic, practical approach and for as long as is needed. Providing information and assistance on issues including: - Health

The Trust provides financial grants for those eligible to help in times of hardship, ill health and retirement. Small grants are also available for young people making gamekeeping their career.
