Game Bird of the Year Award revealed at Weston Park Game Fair 2015

The Lady Scott Rose Bowl for the Game Bird of the Year 2015 was awarded to Julie Carmody whose husband Mick is headkeeper on the Rougham Shoot in Suffolk.

GroupJulieThere was a presentation at the NGO stand on Sunday 21st September to recognise her achievements with Lady Scott (Trustee), Sir John Scott Bt (Honorary President), Walter Cole (Trustee), Brian Mitchell (Trustee) and Helen Benson of the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust (GWT) . The Rose Bowl was presented along with a gilet donated by Game & Country, main sponsors of the Game Bird Award.

Julie was awarded Game Bird of the Year 2015 as the judges felt her dedication, organisation and sheer hard work on behalf of Rougham Shoot in support of her husband Mike was extraordinary.   Helen Benson of the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust said “ Julie clearly demonstrates all the qualities required for a keepers wife and  a successful partnership which benefits all the  shooting community at Rougham and we are delighted to award this year’s award to Julie in recognition of her outstanding achievements”.
